About the Author
Catherine Alonzo is a social change leader, keynote speaker, and entrepreneur on a mission to create a kinder and more equitable world. Alonzo is the co-founder and CEO of Javelina, a branding, marketing, and advocacy agency that helps organizations and campaigns craft powerful stories to drive systemic change. She also consults directly for nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and foundations to advance their social impact by applying the framework in The Changemaker’s Toolkit. Throughout her career, she has contributed to some of the most transformative movements of our time, including advancing marriage equality, increasing minimum wages, expanding transportation networks, safeguarding the environment, and protecting abortion rights. Through her podcast, How to Change the World, she offers insights, tools, and inspiration for social changemakers committed to creating meaningful impact. Alonzo lives in Phoenix, Arizona, with her husband, Ruben.
